We’re Hiring: Long Arm Quilting Specialist (LAQS)
Join our team at GE Designs as a Long Arm Quilting Specialist and help us bring high-quality quilts to life with precision and care. We’re looking for someone who loves quilting, values craftsmanship, and enjoys working in a collaborative, creative environment.
What You’ll Do
- Operate long arm quilting machines to create quilting patterns on a variety of fabrics.
- Ensure accurate stitching, tension settings, and design placement.
- Review quilting patterns and instructions adjusting machine settings as needed
- Maintain and troubleshoot long arm quilting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in selecting quilting designs
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Participate in LAQ continuing education opportunities
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience with LAQ machines and techniques preferred
- Eagerness to learn new skills
- Familiarity with different quilting styles and design software
- Strong understanding of fabric handling, thread tension, and machine maintenance
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality quilted products
- Ability to follow instruction and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with the quilting machines
- Good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
