Become a Stripology Certified Instructor
The Program is designed to empower quilting instructors with advanced knowledge and teaching skills centered around the innovative Stripology method.
This program provides the expertise necessary to teach the Stripology rulers, tools, and patterns to a wide audience, ensuring instructors can confidently guide their students through these time-saving, precision-focused techniques. The goal is to equip instructors with the ability to not only teach effectively but also build successful quilting businesses, whether locally, nationally, or internationally.
What is the Certification Process?
In order to get certified, instructors will start by attending an in-person or virtual Stripology Certification course. The course is an advanced course, intended to give instructors a deep knowledge of:
- Using, teaching and presenting the Stripology rulers to students and customers
- How to use and educate users on the GEasy support tools
- GE Designs patterns designed to use with the rulers
You will experience Gudrun’s expertise on:
- Teaching different Stripology patterns including her unique tips
- How to build and run a successful class, creating supply lists and step outs
- How to structure contracts based on where you intend to be teaching
- How to start or run a successful business as a quilting instructor whether it be locally, nationally or internationally.
The certification course will focus on:
- Demonstrating the tools in different settings
- Handling troubleshooting and special challenges
- Mastering the charts and techniques
- Utilizing the tools to adjust patterns and techniques to the Stripology way
Who Can Apply?
Prerequisites for attending a certification course:
- Intermediate to expert skill level as a quilter and at least 4 years of quilting experience as a consumer
- Teaching experience of at least 2 classes in the quilting and or crafting space
- Experience in using the Stripology rulers as a consumer
- Upload two photos each of fully finished GE Designs quilts (close up and full quilt), choose any three quilt patterns from the GE books and patterns, demonstrating a variety of techniques, skill level and style.

Benefits of becoming a Stripology certified instructor:
- Wholesale purchasing of GE Designs published products if minimums are met
- Free, digital access to up to 6 GE Designs patterns per year as well as some video classes such as the GEasy Class Packs, quilt alongs and Stripology virtual retreats
- Listing and promotion on the GEQuiltdesigns.com website as a certified instructor
- Professional support via email and group Zoom calls
- Opportunity to become an affiliate of GE Designs and receive earnings for referral sales
What do I need to do?
How to become fully certified and to maintain certified status:
- Attend a Stripology certification course and submit the required videos and homework materials within the time span requested from participating in the course
- Maintain and update a teacher profile as well as an event listing on the GEQuiltdesigns.com website
- Attend a new technique seminar, either in person or virtually at least every other year
- Pay the annual certification fee ($195 per year)
Price of the certification course is $1190 and includes:
- Set days of instruction with Gudrun either in person or on Zoom if virtual.

The course fee also covers the first year of being certified once the required videos and homework has been turned in and approved as well as support to get you through the finish line.
