NOTE TO CUSTOMERS:
iCases 2.0 is an update of iCases which was released in 2013. Just like a new edition of a textbook, this new version of the pattern features improved design and layout, easier-to-follow steps and diagrams, and our newest and best techniques. Specific changes include:
Tweaked the sizes AND added two additional sizes. Make a case to fit devices from e-readers to laptops! Designed the case to be dimensional to accommodate items with depth. Now you can better accommodate all your indispensable devices and accessories or other items!
We have also filmed an Add-On Video for the project to help you make the cases. Since the iCases 2.0 pattern includes a coupon to get the Add-On Video at no charge, we would recommend that you purchase the new and improved version of the pattern.
CLASS INFO:
iCases 2.0 makes a great class for confident beginners to advanced makers. We'd suggest a four-hour class for students to make ONE case.
The pattern includes instructions for cases in four sizes. The process is the same for each size, so students can choose a size that will best fit their device.
As always, we'd ask students to read the pattern and watch the full step-by-step Add-on Video for this project before coming to class.
To make best use of class time, we also recommend that they come to class with everything cut out for the size case that they are making and that they fuse the interfacing to the fabric before class. So, they should complete all of step I-A. Cut on page 2 BEFORE coming to class.
NOTE: This pattern is designed for the cases to be made WITHOUT quilting. However, the pattern includes instructions for quilting as an alternative. The Add-on Video gives helpful tips for cutting and preparing the pieces using both methods.
If students prefer to quilt the fabrics for their case, remind them to cut the fabrics and Soft and Stable according to the instructions in the *IMPORTANT note on page 2.

Add-on Video notice: There is an Add-on Video™ available for this pattern. The Add-on Video™ is specially designed to support specific parts of the pattern and help the customer learn our best techniques. It doesn't replace the pattern -- it will enhance their sewing experience.
To support local quilt shops, related paper patterns include a coupon for the value of the Add-on Video™. This is a $5.00 value. Customers can then use the coupon to get the video for free on the ByAnnie.com website.
